BUNKER RENOVATION UPDATE
Erosion and sediment controls on holes 13 and 14 were completed Monday, and the county has officially cleared us to begin construction. We started by stripping turf around the 14th green surround and the 13th fairway bunker. Although Tuesday’s rain delayed progress, the construction crew returned early Wednesday to begin grading work around the 14th green. All bentgrass from the 14th approach was harvested and stored behind the green for future use. Despite the challenging weather, the project remains on track.

GREENS AERIFICATION
Greens aerification is scheduled for Monday, March 9, and Tuesday, March 10. The course will open at its normal time each day; however, the back nine will remain closed until 2 p.m.

Our spring aerification process includes:
• ¼‑inch hollow tines to remove organic matter
• Cleanup of all cores removed from the greens
• Application of approximately one ton of sand per green
• Brushing sand into the aerification holes
• Final smoothing with a roller

This program ensures healthier putting surfaces as we move into the summer season.

FAIRWAY AERIFICATION
Weather permitting, fairway aerification will begin the week of March 16. We will pull ½‑inch cores to remove organic material and help maintain firm, healthy fairways.

CART PATH WORK
Our concrete contractor was delayed by rain on Monday and Tuesday but began demolition first thing Wednesday. The path from the parking lot to the cart staging area has been demolished and formed, with concrete scheduled to be poured Thursday morning. This section will remain closed to cart traffic until Monday.

Work on the short‑game area cart‑path expansion is also underway. Edges are being excavated Thursday and Friday, with plans to pour concrete Monday. Please use caution heading to the range this weekend — the area is clearly marked and coned off for safety.

NEW CREW MEMBER
This winter we welcomed a new Border Collie puppy to our team: Felix. Felix comes to us from members Gwen Meyer and Gary Sojka. Gwen's dog MeeMate (also a Border Collie) was bred in Tennessee last summer by Zoey’s ½ brother, and Felix is part of that litter. Zoey has already begun teaching him the finer points of goose management.

HORTICULTURE DEPARTMENT
Our horticulturist, Aidan Pace, has been hard at work preparing for the growing season. He has preordered our summer annuals and started vegetable plants from seed. Aidan and his team are now focused on preparing beds around the property for mulching.
