Belle Haven Country Club Agronomy Update — April 24, 2026 Bunker Renovation Progress The construction company completed Phase 1 on Friday, April 17, and will return for Phase 2 on October 7. In total, they renovated three holes over 41 days. Our team is now focused on fine-tuning these areas. This week, Daniel and Santiago installed a new quick coupler, allowing us to hand-water expanded fairway areas on Hole 16. They also added additional drainage along the cart path on the same hole. New quick coupler being installed.   Ryan and Laz continue to topdress and roll the new bentgrass sod to help smooth and firm the playing surfaces. The three renovated holes are scheduled to reopen on April 28. Cart path restrictions will remain in place on Holes 13 and 15 to protect newly sodded areas.   On the Course It has been a busy week on the course: New sand is being added to select older bunkers to improve playability ahead of future renovations. 1...

  Belle Haven Country Club Agronomy Update — April 16, 2026 Bunker Renovation Progress Work on Hole 16 will wrap up tomorrow with the final load of bentgrass sod. The construction team is now focused on closing the old 13 fairway bunkers. We’re hopeful that Friday’s sod delivery will provide enough material to complete that work. This week alone, the team installed 42,000 square feet of sod — an impressive effort as we finish this phase of renovation before work pauses until October 2026. Sod going down on 16 fairway and only reached 90 degrees! On Hole 13, the old bunkers will be removed with the fairway expanding slightly up the hill.   Our agronomy team continues grooming and refining new turf areas for optimal play. This week, we mowed the new approaches on Holes 13, 14, and 16, as well as the fairway near the 16th green, down to existing fairway height.   Belle Haven Country Club Agronomy Update — April 9, 2026 Bunker Renovation Progress We’re in the final stretch of Phase 1 of the bunker renovation project. Hole 16 is our final focus until work resumes in October 2026. The construction team has started shaping the fairway bunkers and removing the moguls on the first half of the hole. Friday–Tuesday: Rough shaping began on both fairway bunkers, along with mogul removal. Tuesday: The team sodded the left side of the 16th green. Wednesday: Joel was on site to collaborate with Luis, our head shaper, on fine-tuning the first bunker and reviewing the design vision for the second. Thursday: Drainage and gravel installation began in the first bunker.   Belle Haven Country Club Agronomy Blog — April 2, 2026 Bunker Renovation Update It’s been another productive week on the course! The construction team are wrapping up the finishing touches around the 16th green, including the surround bunkers, approach, and fairway. Saturday–Monday: Drainage and gravel were installed. Wednesday: The Better Billy Bunker liner was sprayed, and 20,000 sq. ft. of sod was laid just before 0.6 inches of rain arrived. Thursday: Crews placed 100 tons of sand in four of the seven bunkers. Friday, April 3: We’ll install an additional 10,000 sq. ft. of bentgrass sod on the 16th fairway. The green surround on 16 is expected to be completed by Wednesday, April 8. Next, they will remove the pot bunkers on the first half of the fairway, replace them with two larger bunkers, and expand the fairway on the right side of the hole. Our...
