Bunker Renovation Update
It was a productive week on the course! On Friday, Joel
Weinman joined the crew to fine‑tune the new 14th‑hole approach. Our team
installed additional irrigation on both sides of the green to ensure full
coverage for the expanded approach and fairway.
On Monday, McDonald and Sons moved to the 13th green to
begin demolition. By Tuesday, all three bunkers were rough‑shaped ahead of
Joel’s site visit Wednesday morning. That same day, we received and installed
19,000 square feet of sod—finishing just before the rain—completing about 90%
of the 14th hole.
At 13, our team relocated two sprinkler heads and water
lines to accommodate the new bunker layout. Drainage installation is the next
step. On Thursday, we received five truckloads of bunker sand (110 tons) and
three loads of drainage stone (66 tons) for the bunkers on 13. We anticipate
finishing the green surround and bunkers by the end of next week before moving
to 16 green surround.

Greens Aerification
Aerification went smoothly with ideal weather conditions.
On Monday, we completed 20 greens by mid‑afternoon, with 70 rounds played that
day right behind us. On Tuesday, we aerified the last two practice greens and
two nursery areas, applying a total of 22 tons of sand throughout the process.

Fairway Aerification
Weather permitting, we’ll begin fairway aerification the
week of March 16. We’ll pull ½‑inch cores to remove organic matter and maintain
firm, healthy playing conditions.
Cart Path Improvements
Work on the short‑game area cart‑path expansion wrapped up
Monday. Our team will complete grading and sod installation there on Friday.
